Towards the end of the last window, Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney joined Real Sociedad on a season-long loan deal.

The left-back, who featured in the Gunners’ Community Shield win over Manchester City, has made five appearances for the La Liga side. In his last outing against Athletic on Saturday, he was forced off the pitch in the 25th due to an injury .

La Real have confirmed the setback sustained by the Arsenal owned player, relayed by AS.

‘Kieran Tierney suffered, during yesterday’s match, an injury to the hamstring muscles of his left thigh. Treatment through physiotherapy has begun. The return to his activities will be progressive, depending on the characteristics of the injury and the evolution of the symptoms,’ a statement from Real Sociedad read.

The Spanish club haven’t been clear on the extent of the damage suffered by the Scotland international and also didn’t mention when he will be available for selection again.

AS believe the fullback will be out of action for about a month, forcing him to miss the national team’s European qualifier against Spain and a friendly against France later this month.

AS add the Arsenal defender isn’t expected to return until after October’s international break at the earliest, and Real Sociedad host RCD Mallorca on October 21st.
