Manchester United beat Luton Town on Saturday, in a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford. The win, and subsequent three points, carried on a good run of Premier League form.
Erik ten Hag’s side are one of the form teams in the league, regardless of the general negatively swirling around the club at this moment in time.
The manager has had multiple issues with injuries this season, with Manchester United losing all of their back four at some stage during the current campaign, and struggling to put together a consistent defensive selection.
There’s also been issues further up the pitch, and it would appear those are continuing. Saturday saw both Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Højlund come off the pitch during the victory over Luton Town, the former being forced to leave during the first half.
Ekstra Bladet in Denmark now report the injuries picked up are ‘too serious’ for either player to take part in the international break, and they’ve therefore withdrawn from the Denmark squad.
Manchester United will hope the duo are available after the international break, and keeping them at Carrington may help in that respect.
