Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun’s decision to join Stade de Reims on loan last summer has paid off big time.
He has managed 16 goals and two assists from 25 matches in all competitions for the French club and is currently the joint top scorer [15 goals] in Ligue 1 with PSG star Kylian Mbappé and Lille’s Jonathan David.
It’s no surprise the Arsenal owned player’s fine displays for Reims have caught attention of several clubs across Europe.
Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, writing in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, claims that AC Milan have included the 21-year-old’s name in the striker target list for the summer. His profile is liked by the Serie A winners.
Balogun will return to the north London club after this season, where he has a contract until 2025, and his valuation is around €20m, although that sounds quite low considering how well the player has done this season.
Ceccarini states there is ‘already a lot of competition’ for Milan to sign the Arsenal man in the next window.
He claims Marseille and Villarreal are ‘increasing the pressure’ to secure the England U21 international’s services.
The journalist doesn’t specify Balogun and Arsenal’s decision on his potential transfer in the summer.
