According to a claim in the Turkish media, Trabzonspor have made an improved offer for Watford defender Wesley Hoedt.
The Dutchman has been linked with a move to the Super Lig club in the past week and they are keen to partner him with new signing Stefan Savić, who arrived at the club on Wednesday.
Karadeniz Gazete today report Trabzonspor have increased their offer for Hoedt and have tabled a bid of €1.5m the player. Their initial offer is reported to have been €1.25m.
The Turkish media outlet say Trabzonspor are now waiting for a response from Watford, but given the central defender wants the move to Turkey it seems only a matter of time before this deal is wrapped up.
It’s likely talks will continue between the two clubs as they look for middle-ground. There have claims Hoedt has agreed personal terms with the Trabzon club, and it was now just a case of getting an agreement on the fee.
Hoedt made 48 appearances for the Hornets last season, scoring three goals. He’s contracted to the Championship club until June 2025.
