Arsenal loanee Joel Campbell continues impressing after recovering from a knee injury which led him to a surgery earlier this summer.
After suffering a blow playing for Costa Rica in July, the original expectation was the winger would be out for at least six months, which is a fair period for a knee injury.
But as reported by the Spanish media last week, the player recovered sooner than expected, and was already able to train with Real Betis, who he joined on a loan move from Arsenal this summer.
And now El Desmarque reports that Campbell is already impressing in training, playing ‘without fear’ and should be ready to be called up to be part of the squad which will face Valencia on on October 15th.
The player is being highlighted for his ‘good behaviour’ on the pitch and dedication both when attacking as when defending.
This is Campbell’s sixth loan since joining the Gunners in 2011, and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, he will really have to prove a lot in Spain to show Arsenal he deserves an extension. Maybe recovering that quickly is a good sign.
