Rosario Central midfielder Francis Mac Allister has revealed how he’s set up contact between teammate Facundo Buonanotte and his brother Alexis Mac Allister ahead of the former’s move to Brighton.
Buonanotte completed a move to Brighton at the beginning of this month following months of speculation about a transfer.
The highly rated young Argentine was first linked with the Seagulls in the summer, when they approached Rosario Central to try and get a deal over the line.
It was close to being done at one point, but the Argentine side pulled out, with fan protests at the club causing a change of heart.
Brighton did not give up, though, returning after the transfer window had closed with a better upfront offer that Rosario ultimately accepted.
Buonanotte will now join up with Brighton in January, where he will link up with compatriot Mac Allister, who he has already spoken to about the switch.
It seems that conversation was lined up by the Brighton man’s brother, who is delighted for his teammate.
“It’s impressive from every point of view,” he told Actualizate.
“I made the link with my brother; Alexis has already told him that the South American gang over there is waiting for him.
“Brighton is the right club for him to grow up. I have great expectations for him and the national team.”
