Federico Pastorello is one of the best known agents in European football, dealing with players and clubs, he not only works directly on transfers but also in an advisory role.
A couple of times a year, Pastorello does a long interview with an Italian newspaper, and this week he’s been speaking to Tuttosport.
With Tuttosport being a Turin based newspaper, there was a lot of talk on Juventus transfer business and that naturally brought the conversation around to Liverpool midfielder Emre Can.
For months the Italian media have been treating Can to Juventus as a sure thing, with the German’s Liverpool contract expiring at the end of June.
Tuttosport asked Pastorello what he thinks of the Can situation, and the agent explained: “I think he gave important signals to Juventus. It’s a hit, on a free transfer even more. Marotta and Paratici are very good. Juventus is a club that attracts champions.”
Juve have a great record of bringing in players on free transfers or for value fees, mixing that with some big deals like Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala.
Liverpool could well be the Turin club’s latest ‘victim’, with the Can deal expected to go through in the summer.
