Simone Zaza’s future at West Ham remains uncertain and complicated. The Italian forward has failed to turn things around so far, and West Ham could get rid of him at the earliest opportunity.

Earlier, Zaza’s father claimed West Ham will have to make his move permanent should he make 14 appearances for the club. He has failed to score in 11 appearances so far, so West Ham would be showing some faith to let him get to that number.

Napoli are reportedly keen on signing him, but poor relations with Juventus means they depend on West Ham to first make his move permanent. Even more complicated.

Another problem is Zaza is one of the highest earners at West Ham, and Napoli certainly wouldn’t want to match his wages.

While that’s just a repeat of what has been said until now, according to Rai Sport (via Area Napoli), there is also an issue related to the player’s image rights, as Zaza doesn’t want to give up the money he receives from his sponsors.

In Italy, image rights belonging to high earning players are sometimes passed over to the club to enable the payments of higher wages.

With so many roadblocks, you’d think it’d be just easier for everyone if Zaza instead started to score goals at West Ham.
