If you’re a new Senegal international, getting the approval of Sadio Mane must be a huge boost. The Liverpool player has been consistently brilliant for a numbers of years, and continues to be an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Following the recent international break, Mane has spoken to French TV about one of his new national teammates. That man is Boulaye Dia, who signed for Reims in 2018.

Making his way through the ranks with the French club, the 24-year-old was a regular last season, managing eight goals in a reduced season. So far this campaign, he’s matched that tally in just nine Ligue 1 matches.

Inevitably, that’s seen claims of interest from elsewhere, with Premier League clubs already being linked with the player. Mane clearly thinks that’s justified and has predicted a big future, and a quick transfer, for the Reims man.

Quoted by Foot-sur7, the Liverpool star said: “I did not know him before, but since the start of the season I started to follow him, and I am really impressed by his qualities. I think he won’t last long there, he won’t last in Reims, believe me!”

Should Dia continue to impress then it would be no surprise to see an English club make a move for him in an upcoming window.
