Patrick Cutrone has had a difficult few years in football since being pushed out of AC Milan in the summer 2019 transfer window.
Sent back to Italy from the Rossoneri’s preseason tour, so the club could cash-in via a Wolves offer, the striker look bewildered at the airport, almost as if he knew the career chaos coming his way.
After just a few months with the Premier League club, Cutrone was sent on an 18-month-loan deal to Fiorentina. The idea was for the transfer to be made permanent at some point down the road, yet less than a year later he was back at Wolves.
That stay only lasted a few weeks, before the 23-year-old was shipped off to Valencia, who didn’t seem to be entirely sure why they’d signed him. Given just 101 minutes in La Liga, across seven performances, it’s unsurprising Cutrone was unable to have an impact.
Now he’s back being a Wolves player, although another exit is expected.
The striker has been speaking to Sky Italia, and was asked about his plans for the future and what he dreams of. In response, ItasSportPress quote him as saying: “I’m very excited, I want to get back into the game and do well. I’m very ready for a new challenge.”
Cutrone will expect his agents to find a settled home for him this time, and he no doubt deserves the chance of some success.
