Everton’s Amadou Onana has told Humo that he’s not yet thinking about a possible move in the summer window.
The 22-year-old is preparing for the Euros with Belgium and that gave the local media a chance to have a chat with him.
Humo have published a lengthy interview with the Everton midfielder, and towards the end he talked about his sister, Melissa, who is also his agent.
When asked if it’s easy to keep the private and professional life separate, he said: “We are getting better and better at that, yes. By talking well to each other. We make all decisions together, but no matter what, she is my sister first and foremost.
“Melissa started from scratch. Today she is an agent for about 20 players, but it didn’t fall into her lap. Football is a man’s bastion: the comments she had to swallow… It was pure misogyny, sometimes even while I was there. She had to grit her teeth. I am very proud of her.”
The recently concluded campaign wasn’t easy for Sean Dyche’s side. Humo pointed that out and mentioned that he’s expected to leave the Toffees in the upcoming window.
Responding to that, Onana explained: “I’m not working on that yet. All my attention now goes to De Rode Duivels [Belgium]. And beyond that, every professional decision I’ve made has been the right one at the right time. I trust that this will remain the case in the future.”
On May 30th, Onana stated he wants a move to a top club and will use the Euros as a platform to showcase his qualities. A day later, the Belgian again insisted that he wants to leave after two difficult seasons with Everton.
