Manchester City defender Ruben Dias has spoken to the Portuguese media at the national team training camp today.

There weren’t a lot of questions about the Premier League or Pep Guardiola’s side, despite the player explaining he’s been at great form at the club and is ready to help his country.

“I am as I’ve been whenever I arrived here, whenever I come to the national team. With great ambition, with great pride and with great pleasure to be able to play with all these players,” said Ruben Dias (via Sapo).

With Portugal having many youngsters in the squad, the Manchester City defender had some words for those who’ve joined the national team for the first time.

“The best advice they can have is the one they got at the clubs where they work, because that’s what brought them here.”

Ruben Dias had to answer several questions about Cristiano Ronaldo. One of them was about the chances of him finishing his career at Sporting. And the defender had an answer which has been doing the rounds in the Portuguese press today.

“I’m still a player, I’m not a player agent, it wouldn’t be bad if I was one of Ronaldo’s agents. But I’m still a player and I have to limit myself to questions to players and not to agents.”

Portugal are in preparations to face Azerbaijan on Wednesday, Serbia on Saturday and Luxemburg on Tuesday, with all matches part of the World Cup Qualifiers.

Once back at Manchester City, the defender’s first game is against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on April 3rd.
