Manchester City signed Felix Correia from Sporting in the summer 2019 transfer window, and within weeks they loaned him out to Jong AZ.
Now he’s set to leave the Etihad on a permanent basis, in a swap deal for Juventus’ Pablo Moreno. In 2018, Moreno quit Barcelona’s La Masia system and moved to the Turin club, the 18 year old forward has since been with Juve’s U23 side, and is a long way from troubling the first team.
The swap move has been reported for a couple of days, and the Catalan media have even made it clear that Barcelona wanted to take Moreno back themselves, but Manchester City have beaten them to an agreement.
Correia has already arrived in Turin to complete his move to Juventus, and Tuttosport quote him as saying: “I’m happy to be here.”
He touched down with his representatives on Sunday and went through initial medical checks. More checks will be done on Monday, and it’s not thought that an announcement is far away.
As it stands, Moreno would have to go into quarantine on arriving in Manchester, although that’s expected to change in the coming days.
