Ramón Sosa went on strike to force a move from Talleres to Nottingham Forest last summer.

The Paraguay international’s decision to join the Reds hasn’t worked out as he had a bit part role under Nuno Espírito Santo this season. He managed three goals and an assist from 550 minutes from 23 games.

Palmeiras tried to sign the Nottingham Forest player in the winter market, but he rejected them. They are back in the mix and are keen on securing his services before the Club World Cup kickstarts in June.

The South American media reported on that earlier this week, also stating the Premier League club are willing to listen to offers for the winger.

On Wednesday, journalist Germán García Grova reported the Brazilian club have made several attempts to sign the 25-year-old, however, he wants to continue in Europe and therefore, has turned down Palmeiras.

Sosa has been speaking to Paraguayan media, with Popular relaying his comments, and said that he’s aware of the links but rules out a move away from England in the summer window.

“I’m going to stay in the Premier League, that’s what I want. I saw some information on social media, but I didn’t understand anything,” he said.

The attacker may have to change his stance if Nuno Espírito Santo and his side were to push him out of the club.
