Queens Park Rangers forward Ilias Chair has told the Dutch media he will to be with the Championship club next season, but is keen to make the step up to the Premier League.

The 20 year old made his debut for QPR this season after joining the club 18 months ago.

Speaking to Gazet van Antwerpen, chair was asked if he will be with QPR after the summer break: “You can count on that, yes. QPR made it clear to me that I’m the future of the club. One day I will have to be one of the leaders of the team. With the ultimate goal the Premier League.”

Chair came through the JMG academy, but after signing for Lierse in 2015 he failed to make the breakthrough at the Belgian club, which led to him to arrive at QPR in the 2017 winter transfer window.

The young forward made his debut against Northampton Town in the EFL Cup earlier this season and he went on to make four league appearances.

In February, Chair was given a contract extension by QPR which ties him to the West London club until June 2020.
