Cesare Casadei’s transfer to Inter Milan to Chelsea has now hit the airport stage, with the Italian media spotting him leaving the country to complete his move to the Blues.
It turns out that website TuttoMercatoWeb managed to get a few words from the player, who confirmed he’s on his way to the Stamford Brdige.
The outlet first asked the midfielder if he’s ‘excited’ about joining Chelsea, and got him saying: “Yes, I’m very ready to start”.
Also quizzed if he’s ‘ready to start’ the adventure in London, Casadei said: “Yes, I’m always ready”.
TuttoMercatoWeb points out that Chelsea are paying €15m for the signing, plus €5m in performance bonuses.
Casadei joined Inter Milan’s youth ranks back in 2019, when he was part of the U-17 squad.
At the age of 19, he still never made his professional debut for the club, but the potential shown at their academy was apparently enough for Chelsea scouts to set sights in him and convince the Blues’ board of making a big investment in his signing this summer.
Earlier today, we covered a report from Corriere dello Sport which said Thomas Tuchel was ‘conquered’ by ‘the player’s qualities’.
