Leeds United goalkeeper Kiko Casilla has insisted he’ll ‘go right now’ if Espanyol make him an offer this summer.

The Spanish goalkeeper is unlikely to remain at Elland Road beyond this transfer window, despite having a year left on his current deal at the club.

He spent last season on loan in Spain, and reports in England have made it clear Leeds are likely to look into an early termination of his contract so he can become a free agent.

That’s yet to happen, but there are interested parties in his homeland, with a report yesterday stating that Granada are considering a move.

A return to former club Espanyol could be another option, with Casilla having spent eight years at the club, making 126 appearances in total, before a move to Real Madrid in 2015.

Indeed, he’s yet to make more appearances for any other side, and it seems if they made him an offer, he’d jump at the opportunity for another spell.

“If Espanyol call me, I’ll go right now,” he told COPE when asked about his situation in an interview today.

The interesting part is whether Casilla would return as a free agent or in a transfer from Leeds.

COPE say he is ‘currently out of contract’ with the Whites, but that is not actually the case, with his current deal still running until 2023.

Several reports have made it clear that it’s likely to be terminated, but until that is officially done, a return to Espanyol seems unlikely.
