Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has been interviewed by Brazilian outlet Esporte Interativo, and talked a little about the club he’s willing to join in the future.

But it’s not like he’s looking to leave the Red Devils soon or anything like that. The 24-year-old has detailed his love for Santos, and his wish to play for the club one day.

Andreas was asked a couple of times about how his love for the Brazilian giants started, and he named a few players who attracted him.

“My entire family is Santista. Since I was little, my father always bought me a Santos shirts. I always liked Santos. Then I started watching, it was the time, when I was very young, it was Robinho, Diego,” Andreas Pereira told Esporte Interativo.

“Then I got the season that Neymar, Ganso and Elano played, I saw them all playing, that’s when I fell in love with Santos.

“The day I wear the shirt… I don’t know. I think I’ll cry. Because I always said to my father, ‘I want to be a footballer’. I used to play for PSV. I was like, ‘If I play for PSV, it’s good. My dream is to play here. I love PSV as the club too. And then play for Santos’.”

“My father said: ‘To play for Santos you have to be very good. Because Pelé played there, Robinho played, Neymar played… they have many aces. You have to be a top player’.

“So I think that the day I arrive at Santos, I think it will be an immense pride. I think I’ll cry. That day I’ll cry.”

Despite all the love he’s shown for Santos, Andreas has also made it clear that he’s not looking to leave Manchester United anytime soon, claiming he wants ‘to win the Premier League and many other trophies’ for the English side.

Andreas also praised the club’s new signing Bruno Fernandes, saying ‘it’s always good to bring players who speak Portuguese and can mix up with us’.
