While Manchester United fans wait until they finally see Bruno Fernandes wearing the Red Devils’ shirt, there’s a little more content about the transfer coming from Portugal.
Sporting have been publishing several messages to their captain, from highlight videos to wishing good luck at his new club.
Now it was time for Bruno Fernandes himself to show up in a video for the fans, thanking them for the support, and talking about his love for the Lisbon side.
“Hello, Sportinguistas. I would like to leave you a message of ‘see you soon’, because I will never stop watching, never stop following. It was a pleasure to be here with you. To represent the colours of Sporting. To be able to dress with the lion on the chest. And in time I will also send my farewell message so that you can know that I will carry you in my heart. Thanks.”
Interestingly, in the video, he’s not wearing the same clothes he was at the airport. So that was probably recorded long before the announcement was made by both clubs.
The midfielder is moving to Manchester United in a €55m deal, with another €25m to be paid depending on performance bonuses.
