Ikhsan Fandi is a 20 striker-year-old Singapore player with big ambitions for his future, currently playing for Norway right now. The young man is full of wonder as he learns to live on his own, but it seems like he is not losing direction, as he is proving himself to be very useful: he scored his first two goals in the Norwegian second division games that he participated in as part of the Rufous IL team on May 12th and 16th.
Ikhsan is trying his best to be an independent young man, as he settles into his new home 80 minutes away from Oslo, in Rufous. Sharing his apartment with a fellow 20-year-old player, the two are learning to coexist, trying to eat healthily, cleaning and battling the trouble that is laundry together.
Ikhsan is looking at the whole experience with a lot of optimism and a lot of positivity, saying he is quite enjoying the experience of becoming an adult. He says he enjoys it especially because he has never gotten to be on his own before – even in Chile, he was taken care of by his brother. Now as the flatmates share an apartment between the two of them, they are learning the true meaning of what it means to “adult” according to Ikhsan.
And as he learns how to live on his own, he is also starting to become more adept at the game and garner more attention from those who are paying attention to the game. His first goal was an impressive bicycle kick which won the game for his team, turning the score 3-2 against Skeid.
The second goal he made was an incredible header, landing the team another point in their lead and ending the game at 5-2. The locals are quickly becoming fans of the player.
As reports Norwegian portal Norskecasino.casino, the entire population of Raufoss looks forward to the league games on Sundays, packing the 2500 person stadium to see their home team win. Ikhsan is quickly becoming the center of attention for the fans, as he has impressed the Norwegian football league with how easy it was for him to become a part of it.
The Monday after the game is spent on recovery and Tuesday is the only day off that the player gets. On this day, if he goes out into town, he drives his son flashy Wolksvagen Golf around town, often going to the cinema or spending time in Gjovik.
If he doesn’t feel like going out, he might stay at home and either watch television or play some videogames. In many ways but the football way, he is nothing more than an average 20-year-old.
The rest of the days are spent preparing for the matches. This involves spending a lot of time on the top-notch pitch of the Nammo Stadion, or in the indoor arena during the winter. When the season begins, he starts going to the gym on his own, and he trains on his own a little after the training session is over.
He says that the league that he is part of is full of strong players with great technique, and in order to perform well he has to keep training and getting better. Especially since he wants to fulfill some of his goals: become the league starter, score ten goals in order to move his team up in the Obos-ligaen and to become more attractive to the big clubs around the world. These goals are driven by his striker position, and he hopes to accomplish them and go beyond the goals if he can.
“I was anxious and eager to prove myself as quickly as I can, and I am happy and relieved to have scored my first goals for the club,” said Ikhsan. He then followed up with a promise to keep working hard and making impressive plays so that he can become the best player he can possibly be.
