Idrissa Gana Gueye to Paris Saint Germain is a transfer rumour that is likely to pick up in the coming weeks.

Earlier this week we covered a report that PSG were keen on the midfielder once again, with Thomas Tuchel a big admirer. In fact, the Ligue 1 club have already seen a bid rejected by Everton.

With Gueye still at the Africa Cup of Nations, the move is likely to have to wait until Senegal are finished at the tournament.

That’s not stopped Sans Limite SN questioning the Everton midfielder about the potential move to Paris, though, although the midfielder was not playing ball.

“I am focused on my competition,” he told them when asked about PSG’s interest.

“I did not read L’Equipe but they told me about it. I am fully focused on my competition. We’ll have time to talk about it again if it’s still there.

“I can not talk about it here. Once again, I am focused on my competition.”

This is pretty much a standard response from Gueye, who isn’t willing to risk annoying Everton by talking about the links to PSG.

The midfielder made his stance clear in January, he wants the move to France and will push for it should he need to.

Until PSG meet Everton’s asking price, though, the situation is out of his hands and it’s best for him to focus on glory with his country and leave the two clubs to sort out a deal.
