You might have seen a few articles over the past week or so stating both Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in Joaquin Correa, currently at Lazio.

The Argentine, who was relatively successful under Simone Inzaghi, doesn’t appear to have a dedicated place in Maurizio Sarri’s plans, and there have been a number of reports he could be sold this summer.

This is a stance pushed by Radiosei, relayed by La Lazio Siamo Noi, who explained that Correa is ‘the only expendable’ in the big name department at the Italian side.

Juventus, then led by Fabio Paratici, tried to sign him last year, and Tottenham, who recently appointed the transfer chief as their director of football, are now on the case.

It’s explained ‘requests aren’t lacking’, especially ‘in the Premier League with Spurs and Arsenal’.

In order to sell, Lazio are expecting ‘between €30-40m’, with ‘no discounts’, which is backed up by Corriere dello Sport.

The newspaper explain ‘the attracting with the Premier League is mutual’, as Correa has already played in Serie A and La Liga, meaning ‘the idea of flying to England appeals to him’.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are mentioned in that article as well, with it clear they are the two in the top-tier keenest on Correa’s services.

Whether either of the two are prepared to spend €30m+ on the forward remains to be seen, but with both needing some attacking reinforcement at some point in the near future, perhaps this is an easy option to secure.
