Despite being just 20-years-of-age, Michael Olise has already played more than 500 minutes for Crystal Palace so far this season. That follows on from just over double that number during the last campaign.
The versatile youngster can play down the right or through the middle, and has contributed two assists in the Premier League campaign to date.
He has a contract with Crystal Palace lasting until 2026, meaning the London club are very well protected when it comes to transfer interest from elsewhere.
That’s worth keeping in mind, as claims emerge from Italy of AC Milan potentially making a move. Calciomercato.it report the Rossoneri were already keen when Olise was at Reading, and that he has French citizenship means he wouldn’t take a non-EU place in the club’s squad.
What’s been seen since the player’s move to Crystal Palace has only served to underline the potential Olise has, and his progress has been ‘closely followed’ by the Serie A side.
He’s ‘an idea to be evaluated’ by the Champions League club, but, in reality, they’d surely be put off when it came to whatever fee Palace would want. It’s one thing signing a talent from Reading, and quite another trying to get a Premier League youngster, who has a contract until 2026 and who is getting regular minutes.
