Bournemouth’s Hamed Traore had an impressive loan stint at Auxerre during the 2024/25 season.

The versatile attacker scored ten times in Ligue 1 and racked up two assists, he’s attracting interest from clubs in Italy and France. The 25-year-old, who is now back at Bournemouth, has spoken to Corriere dello Sport about his future.

Traore made it clear he wants a permanent solution to his situation, hinting at a lack of interest in another loan deal.

The attacking midfielder said: “I’d like to play for a club that trusts me. And if I were to leave, I’d like a permanent solution.”

When asked about the possibility of staying at Bournemouth, Traore said: “Now I don’t know if I’ll stay at Bournemouth. I’d like stability.”

The former Sassuolo player also spoke about his chances of staying in the Premier League.

“We’ll see. I’m coming off an important year and I want to put everything I’ve learned and improved to good use.”

The Ivorian also made it clear that his plan right now is to play regular first-team football.

“In the past, I would have said winning the Champions League [is his dream], now [it is] doing what makes me happiest – playing football.”

This suggests that Traore could yet stay at Bournemouth, if the Cherries make him an important part of the project.

Andoni Iraola’s side could still lose key players like Antoine Semenyo this summer and if the Ghana international does leave, that can hand an opportunity to Traore. Everything may come down to his suitability to the Spaniard’s system, which demands a lot of high-intensity running.
