Leeds United loanee Caleb Ekuban has again spoken to the Turkish media about his future.
The 25 year old is currently on loan with the Super Lig side and it’s very likely they’ll make the move permanent.
Ekuban said he wants to stay at Trabzonspor after the end of his loan spell.
Speaking to Turkish TV Channel A Spor as covered by Sabah, the Leeds United owned player said: “I want to stay at this club. My first choice is Trabzonspor. Our aim this season to win the Turkish Cup but we failed to do that.
“Hopefully, we will continue to improve in the final seven games to finish the league in a decent position and achieve a European qualification. If we will compete on three fronts next season, then I will be very pleased.”
Trabzonspor have a €1m right of redemption to sign the Leeds United player outright. In recent weeks there have suggestions in the Turkish press they will activate this.
There have also been reports the Trabzon club plan to offload him once they’ve signed him from Leeds United. Italian clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation with the forward.
