Harry Kane last scored for Tottenham Hotspur in their 1-0 league win over Manchester City on February 5th.
This goal helped the 29-year-old become Spurs’ all-time leading scorer, overtaking Jimmy Greaves in the process. It was also his 200th goal in the Premier League, becoming the third player after Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney to achieve the feat.
After losing the weekend league tie against Leicester City, Kane’s immediate focus will be on Tottenham’s Champions League clash against AC Milan at the San Siro on Tuesday.
Ahead of the midweek European clash, Carlo Cudicini, who played for both the Serie A side and the north London club during his career, was interviewed by Milan TV. The former Italian goalkeeper spent three seasons at Tottenham between 2009 and 2012.
Kane had temporary spells at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City between 2011 and 2013. Cudicini is of the belief Kane’s loan deals at these clubs benefited the striker and Tottenham in the long run.
“When Kane entered the first team, he was a little boy,” Cudicini said, as quoted by MilanNews24.
“I was lucky enough to know him before returning to Tottenham after the two loans. He was a more mature person, he knew his stuff and I insulted him in a certain way, because at the end of training he would take two bags of balls and shoot, shoot, shoot… And I was the victim. This makes us understand the mentality that the loans had given to Kane.”
