Having been called up to the Denmark squad by Kasper Hjulmand a few days after the official squad was announced, Celtic star Matt O’Riley has been the centre of attention since his arrival.
He has spoken to a variety of outlets, and discussed various topics, such as a failed move to Brøndby and his football mad 85-year-old grandmother.
Bold.dk also wanted to know a bit more about the Celtic midfielder’s future plans going forward, and whether a move to the Premier League, which he has been linked to of late, would be of interest to him.
On if he’s ready, he said: “It’s hard to say, of course. I have played in the Champions League and I think I fit the level, even if it is a high level. I think I’m ready, but I’m in a good team, and right now, football is fun for me. Then we’ll have to see how it’s going to go in the future.”
The Celtic player has a chance of making his first appearance for Denmark against Slovenia on Friday, eligible to represent them through his mother.
He has scored six goals and assisted another five in 12 Scottish Premiership appearances, and there’s no denying that if things continue at this rate, Brendan Rodgers’ side will have a decision to make, since more and more teams are taking notice of the midfielder.
