Ozan Tufan has insisted he sees his time at Hull City as a success, after scoring 20 goals in two seasons for the club.
The Turksih midfielder has been speaking to TRT Spor, relayed by Asist Analiz, as he gets to work at new club Trabzonspor.
The 29-year-old made a return to Turkey with the Super Lig side earlier this month, joining them in a €2m deal from Hull City.
He had been with the Tigers since 2022 when he joined them in a €3m deal from Fenerbahce for a second spell in England after a short live and unsuccessful loan at Watford from August 2021 to February 2022.
He was a regular for Hull during his time there, making 84 appearances over his two years and managing a tally of 18 goals and two assists in those games.
His exit largely came as a shock to Hull, who most had expected to keep hold of the midfielder this summer as they look to build and perhaps try and secure promotion after narrowly missing out last season.
Instead, he has departed and returned to his homeland, joining Trabzonspor, a move he admits was two years in the making.
“My first conversation with Abdullah Avcı was 2 years ago, when I was playing in Fenerbahçe,” he said.
“I am happy to be here. I scored 20 goals with the Hull City jersey in the last two seasons, and I think I was successful.”
