If you have closely followed Sport Witness’ coverage of Chelsea, there’s a good chance for you to stumble upon multiple stories on Jorginho’s agent, João Santos.
The midfielder has two years left on his contract and on June 25th, his representative admitted his client will only leave the Blues if there’s no renewal offer.
On July 7th, a day after the 29-year-old helped Italy beat Spain to seal a berth in Euro 2020 final, Santos revealed he has received calls from other clubs, but his priority is to hold talks with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia over a contract extension for Jorginho.
Less than 24 hours later, the former Napoli man’s agent has given another interview, this time to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, relayed by Napoli Magazine.
“He has another two years on his contract, now we are focused only on Sunday’s final [against England],” Santos said.
“I think today he is worth around 50 million euros, few teams in Europe are capable of making this investment. Next season, he will play the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup, I think he’ll stay at Chelsea next year.”
