Everton striker Cenk Tosun has praised the Goodison Park faithful and said he wants to win silverware with the Merseyside club, in an interview he’s given to Turkish website Futbol Arena.
Tosun returned to Everton following a knee injury which he picked up whilst on loan at Crystal Palace, and said to Futbol Arena he now wants to prove himself to Carlo Ancelotti: “I only had a chance to work with Ancelotti for one month. After that, I decided to join Crystal Palace. However, my first impressions were very good about him. He brought calmness to the team.”
Speaking about his future plans and ambitions at Everton, Tosun said he wants to win a cup with his club: “Winning the Premier League title is a hard task given the presence of Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United. However, I think we can FA Cup or League Cup. Because the club is running in a very professional way, and we have quality players.”
Despite Tosun wanting to be a success at Everton his future remains uncertain with the Premier League side. Last season he was hardly used during the first half of the season and subsequently he was loaned to Crystal Palace.
Tosun recently said he would like to remain in the English top flight but he may need to move on to get regular games elsewhere.
In past windows the attacker has been linked with a return to Turkey, yet given the current situation this seems unlikely this summer.
