Fiorentina’s Michael Kayode is set to complete a move to Brentford in the winter market.

These are ‘hot hours’ for the right-back’s move, and he is ‘one step away’ from Brentford.

That’s according to Firenze Viola, who state the 20-year-old will travel to England to seal a move to Brentford.

It’s claimed the defender said goodbye to the Serie A side before flying to England to carry out transfer formalities with the Bees.

When he was leaving, he stopped to have a chat with the Italian website. The fullback joined Fiorentina’s youth system in 2021 and made his way into their first team in 2023.

The Italy U21 international thanked everyone associated with the club for supporting him ahead of his move to the Premier League side.

“I thank everyone for what you have given me. From the Primavera to the first team. I grew up with you and if I take this step, it is only thanks to you. You will always be in my heart. I’m sorry for what happened. Thank you,” he said.

On Tuesday, we covered multiple claims from Italy which stated Brentford will sign the defender on a loan deal with an option to buy set at around €17-17.5m.

It was also reported the two clubs are sorting out paperwork and only that’s missing for the deal to go through.

Kayode will carry out medical tests with Brentford upon his arrival in the UK.
