Leeds United forward Marcus Antonsson has told the Swedish media he doesn’t know if he’ll be playing for the Championship side next season.

The Swede is currently on loan with Blackburn Rovers from Leeds United.

Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Antonsson was asked about returning to Leeds United in the summer when his loan spell with Blackburn Rover ends: “I really don’t know. I have told my agent that I want to finish the season here first and now we have promotion we are chasing the league title.”

“I only know that I have a year left for the deal with Leeds, and that’s what I’m talking about. If something else pops up then maybe. We have not yet talked to them.”

Antonsson joined Leeds United in 2016 from Kalmar, but struggled to get games in his debut season in England.

His lack of games led to his loan move to Blackburn Rovers last summer, and his goals have contributed to their promotion back to the Championship.

It’s not known if Antonsson will be at Leeds United next season, and it’s looking likely they will bolster their attacking options in the summer.
