Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has admitted he doesn’t know if he will be returning to AC Milan next season.
The Portuguese defender has spent the season on loan with the Serie A giants after it was made clear he is not part of the plans at Old Trafford.
He’s had something of an up and down campaign in Italy, impressing in fits and bursts but never fully establishing himself as a key player.
He’s expected to return to Manchester United in the summer at the end of his loan deal, with Milan yet to decide whether they want to pursue a permanent deal.
Reports on that front in Italy are conflicting at this moment in time, with some stating Milan are not interested with others insisting that they want to extend his loan deal.
That’s something that will need to be sorted this summer, and the Manchester United man has admitted he doesn’t know what will happen.
“I like to become more and more complete,” he told Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“Italians love football; they always talk about it. And on the pitch, I feel I have improved a lot tactically.
“I’d say I’ve had a fantastic year and met some great people.
“It was a real pleasure to play for Milan, but now I’m thinking about the European Championship, and I really don’t know what will happen.”
