Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen took a huge clattering from Simon Mignolet on Wednesday evening. The Dutchman tried to carry on, but it was clear he wasn’t completely fine, and once he sat down on the pitch and pointed to his head, Danny Blind knew to bring the Tottenham player off.

Quoted by De Telegraaf, Blind explained after the match: “He misses a period of twenty minutes. That’s not good, of course.”

The initial reports from the Netherlands explained Janssen would miss the match against Luxembourg, and therefore return to Spurs, which were followed more than 12 hours later by Sky Sport News wheeling out their ‘Sky Sources’ and ‘breaking’ the update.

Over in the Netherlands, the Dutch media were getting words from the man himself, who has no idea when he’ll be available. AD quote the Tottenham player as saying: “Yes, I can still count to 10, fortunately. How long it takes and how the next few days will look like, I do not know.”

Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham will have to take things calmly with the concussion, as confirmed in the Netherlands, and won’t want to rush the player.
