Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sörloth, who’s currently on loan at Trabzonspor, has spoken about his future after winning the Turkish Cup earlier this week.
Sörloth scored one and assisted the other when his side beat Alanyaspor 2-0. The Norwegian finished the season with 33 goals in all competitions, which meant he was the leading scorer in both the Super Lig and the cup.
Speaking about his future, Sörloth said he’s very happy at the Turkish side, as covered by Sporx: “I’m proud of my teammates. We worked hard and showed character. I am saying that in every interview, I am not going anywhere. I have one more year contract with Trabzonspor. That’s the only thing I would like to say.”
The 24 year old has impressed with the Karadeniz Firtinasi this season, leading to reports he could move away from the Trabzon club this summer. There have been lofty claims Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid are all interested in signing him in this transfer window, but that seems unlikely.
However, Trabzonspor do have the option to sign Sörloth permanently for €6m at the end of his two year spell. If the Crystal Palace owned player does commit himself to the Super Lig side, they may sell him next summer for a profit.
Sörloth’s contract at Selhurst Park will expire at the end of June 2022.
