The defender joined the Eredivisie side from FC Groningen in January 2023. He clocked in less than 300 minutes in the second half of the 2022/23 season and was sent out on loan to Rapid Wien last season.
Rangers took the 22-year-old on another loan deal in August. He’s played five matches for them, including one start and 22 minutes of action in the Scottish Premiership from two appearances.

“I have been well received in Scotland. The trainer is very direct, and I need that,” he said.
It’s probably too early to understand whether he will continue at Rangers beyond this season.
If Rangers were to decide against exercising the purchase option, the Dutchman will have to return to Feyenoord next summer. His deal there lasts until 2027.
When Voetbal Primeur asked if he could return to the Dutch club, Kasanwirjo explained: “Feyenoord next year? Who knows…”
