Antonio Conte started his second spell in England when Tottenham Hotspur appointed him as their manager in November 2021, following the sacking of Nuno Espírito Santo.
The Italian spent two seasons at Chelsea between 2016 and 2018. Barring his time with the Blues and the current role at Spurs, he had only managed in his Italy, where he won the league titles with both Juventus and Inter Milan.
Tottenham host Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League tie later today. Ahead of the midweek European clash, Sky Italia had an opportunity to interview the 53-year-old.
Having previously worked with the broadcaster, Conte has refused to rule out returning to Sky Italia.
“I’m always interested, when I can I see all the matches. I miss you, I had a good time with you even if for a while. I then took my place on the bench again, but in the future never say never,” he said.
“I am a spectator always interested in what happens in Italy, I watch all the games when I can. We want to win tomorrow [against Eintracht Frankfurt] to move forward.
“The Italian teams? Napoli are doing something extraordinary. I congratulate Spalletti, the players and the owners because winning against Liverpool is never easy, even the match against Ajax was incredible,” he added.
“Inter have given a great signal by winning against Barcelona and now it will not be easy psychologically for the Catalans. Juventus, like us, come from a long journey made this summer.”
Conte’s former club, Juve, have struggled under Massimiliano Allegri this term. The Old Lady have managed to win four matches in all competitions, out of which three have come in the league.
The Tottenham boss has been rumoured as an option to replace Allegri at the Turin club after the end of this season. Conte, however, has already talked down these claims.
