Last September, Leeds United returned to the top flight after staying 16 years away from the Premier League.
Marcelo Bielsa had a huge role in helping the Whites return to the top division as he guided the club to success in the Championship.
Part of the credit also needs to be directed towards Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani, who brought the club in 2017.
The Leeds chief has been speaking at the UEFA Executive Master for International Players [UEFA MIP], an educational scheme conducted for former players.
When discussing the leaders that inspired him the most, Radrizzani expressed his admiration towards Bielsa and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola. He also spoke about Tottenham Hotspur manager José Mourinho.
“…but also, the leadership of Mourinho and [Antonio] Conte because I like their way of inspiring while always staying focused on their goals.
“I also really enjoyed the work done by David Dein and Arsene Wenger with Arsenal’s Invincibles. Another one who inspired me is Bill Gates in terms of what you can do with your business to have a social impact.”
Bielsa’s current deal at Elland Road expires at the end of this season and although reports have indicated the Argentine will continue at the club, his mentor has urged the Leeds manager to return to Newell’s Old Boys.
