Leeds United fullback Junior Firpo had a word this week with the Spanish press.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Whites on a €15m move from Barcelona last summer, has been having ups and downs at the Elland Road, and still fights to convince Marcelo Bielsa that he deserves to start every week.

Now even though he has basically just landed in the Premier League, when speaking to DAZN, Firpo was asked about a potential return to the club he played for in La Liga.

One of the questions was about Real Betis, for whom he featured between 2014 and 2019. He made sure to say he’s committed to Leeds for now, but didn’t rule out a return to the Sevilla side.

“I would love to spend a lot of time here, but, well, in the end, the house always wins and I would like to return to Betis, obviously,” Firpo told DAZN (via Marca).

Then Firpo was quizzed about Barcelona, and the player didn’t mind claiming he’d fancy having a second shot at the Camp Nou side.

“I didn’t even say no to Barça the first time and it would be very difficult to say no the second time, obviously.”

Covering the quotes, Marca wonders if his performances at Leeds will be good enough for the Spanish sides to get interested in him again.
