Hirving Lozano is never getting tired of his dream to join Manchester United one day.
During the past year, there were strong claims from Mexico saying the Premier League club had agreement to sign the Pachuca striker.
First it was claimed the player’s family would be ready to move to England, and later the Pachuca president publicly stated the clubs were in talks. We explained all these claims at the time.
It seems it all got into Lozano’s head, because when interviewed by Univision on Thursday, he spoke about Manchester United once again.
First he was asked which league he’d like to play in if/when he moves to Europe: “I believe many are beautiful, I like the English and the Spanish very much. But let’s see how things are and decide.”
Then the question came about which club he would like to play for: “The one I would like most is Manchester, I like this club a lot and it’s a very important club.”
Univision then recall claims saying Manchester United would pay $60m for the player, about £48m, something which obviously never happened. The whole story sounded strange from the start, and we see no reason why interest would be reawakened this time.
That said, Lozano is 21 years of age and very talented. he primarily plays on the left but can also operate through the middle and on the right. And he scores goals, something Jose Mourinho is looking for.
