Top of the Premier League with a world-class manager, a squad full of world-class talent and the prospect of trophies coming out your ears, it’s easy to imagine most players would like to play for Manchester City.
There’s no denying the Cityzens are hugely attractive for any player, as proven by the fact they could get Lionel Messi from Barcelona this summer.
Thus, when a player openly admits he’d like a move to the Etihad, it’s a case of adding them to the ever-growing list.
The latest name to add to that is Eyüpspor youngster Erencan Yardimci, who has admitted he fancies joining Guardiola and co at Manchester City in future.
“I came to Galatasaray neither too early nor too late,” he told Sozcu.
“I came at an ideal age. Then I went to the national team. It has been a rapid rise for me.
“I have risen fast in my career so far, but now I want to progress slowly. I want to play in the National Team and in Europe.
“I have a goal to play in Manchester City, especially the Premier League team.”
Whether Yardimci can achieve his goal in future remains to be seen, but if he manages to impress in Turkey, there’s every chance he can.
City’s scouting network is known to be extensive these days, with them regularly picking up talent from around the world to add them to the City Group ranks.
Indeed, they’ve even been scouting Turkey of late, having tried but failed to sign Ali Akman, who elected to go to Germany instead.
That should give Yardimci hope; all he has to do is start putting in the kind of performances that will catch the attention of those City scouts.
