Everton defender Yerry Mina has shared his delight at being part of the setup at Goodison Park and the opportunity to work alongside James Rodriguez.
Mina has been at Everton since a £27.23m move from Barcelona in August 2018, when he arrived alongside Barca teammates Lucas Digne and Andre Gomes.
He’s been a regular for the Blues since but has stood out this season under Carlo Ancelotti, with a series of impressive displays and 19 Premier League appearances to his name so far.
This season has undoubtedly been his best in blue so far, and that is something Everton have benefitted from, with them currently seventh in the table but just two points outside of the top four with a game in hand on those above them.
It’s something Mina is more than aware of, sharing his happiness at being able to play alongside his fellow countryman.
“Obviously, I miss being back home, but I feel lucky to be part of a team like Everton, where I really enjoy the company I have here,” he told Canal RCN.
“I’m very happy that with the arrival of my little brother James, there are many fans of this team in Colombia.
“We all know that James is a magnificent player, what he does with the ball is a magician, but the most important thing is that he is a great person and we get along very well.
“It’s very easy to talk to him, and we strengthen and support each other here.”
