Östersunds FK manager Ian Burchnall has told the Swedidh media he’s expecting approaches for his star attacker Hosham Aiesh.

The 24 year old has been linked with a move to Leeds United after claims a scout from the Championship side was sent to Sweden to get a lowdown on him.

Fotboll Direkt have reported on comments Burchnall made to regional newspaper Op.se when quizzed about the future of the Leeds United target: “He’s coming back today, so it has nothing to do with the rumours with other clubs. But this interest is of course increasing, and I expect to hear from several big clubs in the coming weeks.”

We recently covered reports from Sweden that Marcelo Bielsa along with a Leeds United scout watched OFK’s game against GIF Sundsvall with the intention, mainly for Aiesh but also his teammate Dino Islamovic.

Burchnall also spoke to the Swedish press last weekend and said no concrete bids have come in for the right winger.

Aiesh has been one of OFK’s standout players in the past 12 months and made his debut for Sweden earlier this year.

Leeds United could face competition from fellow Championship sides Nottingham Forest and Reading.
