Gerard Deulofeu has had a busy few days.
As Barcelona won La Liga, a t-shirt was dished out to players with the names of the winners on it. Deulofeu was left off, made his displeasure known, and was then on a new list of players gracing t-shirts as Barca paraded their trophy through the city on Monday evening.
Claims of a potential Watford stay have also surfaced, and also Barcelona considering a move to extend the players contract so they can get more money later down the line.
On top of that, the 24 year old returned after a near two month absence and put in a good cameo as Watford lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur.
Spain’s Cadena Ser have managed to get some quotes from the player, and it’s interesting for Watford fans.
Mundo Deportivo have picked up the radio chat and Deulofeu was sure on one thing: “I do not think I’ll return to Barca. They gave me up and I wanted to go on loan. It’s clear that I don’t think I’ll come back.”
On a potential longer stay with the Premier League club, the La Masia product said: “The coach wants me to stay. I have to see, go slowly and analyse it well. We will see with my agent what happens. At the moment we are calm.”
That’s certainly not a no, and Javi Gracia will feel he has a reasonable chance of securing the player for Watford.
