Having failed with their attempt to sign Luis Diaz from FC Porto, overtaken at the last by Liverpool, Tottenham have now turned their attention back to Dejan Kulusevski.
The forward was on Fabio Paratici’s list earlier on in the transfer window, with many articles written about Spurs’ interest in the Sweden international, but that all died down for a while.
Returning to the fore on Friday, there is now a lot of talk that the ex-Parma starlet could end up at Tottenham before the end of the transfer window, and that doesn’t surprise many people.
Among those who expected something like this to happen was former footballer and now agent Massimo Brambati, who spoke to TMW Radio, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb.
He said “I knew that Conte already wanted him at Inter. I don’t find it hard to believe in this interest”, before adding “he is ideal for Tottenham, who wants to create”.
We’ll have to wait and see if this interest turns into something more concrete, but it’s clear that Antonio Conte is a big fan of the young forward, who would certainly bring something different to Tottenham’s attack, regardless of whether it is as a loan or a permanent transfer.
If it’s the latter, it’s worth pointing out that the line has been Juventus want a fee upwards of €30m, just so they can break even.
