Forced to come off against Norwich City back in December because he was struggling to breathe, Manchester United’s Victor Lindelöf missed the next three games because of a Covid-19 infection.
He returned a month later for the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa, and has featured regularly for the Red Devils since.
Now back with the Sweden national team, the 27-year-old was asked about what happened all those months ago, and whether he’d fully recovered.
Lindelöf, relayed by Fotbollskanalen, replied: “I have done all the tests you need to do and there have been no more problems. It’s not something I think about now. There’s nothing that I’m worried about. I feel 100% and am completely confident in the situation.”
Signed from Benfica in 2017 for £31.5m, the Sweden international has become a regular at Old Trafford over the years, signing a five-year extension in 2019 that will see him stay at the club until at least 2024.
Since joining, he has 188 appearances for Manchester United, scoring three goals and picking up six assists along the way.
He’s also managed to accumulate an impressive 49 caps for his country since making his debut in 2016, and is his national team’s captain.
