Manchester United star Paul Pogba has been speaking to French media outlet Telefoot (via GFFN) ahead of the club’s big game against Liverpool on Monday night.
Pogba insists his critics are keen to have their say about him, but he doesn’t pay attention to them. That’s probably a good thing given the criticism the player had been receiving in France before his goal against the Netherlands.
He said: “People like to talk about Paul Pogba. The critics, they stay for a day, then after that I put my music back on, I dance.”
Returning to Manchester United, Pogba has teamed up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will be able to tell the midfielder a few stories about proving critics wrong.
He added: “Zlatan is a bit like a big brother, he has the winning mentality. He is a truly great player, a very important one.
“I will need a little time to adapt in Manchester, time for the machine to start working. I am adapting.
“Life is very good, I play football, I am on TV,” concluded the Manchester United star.
Whilst footballers will always say criticism doesn’t get to them, it’s rarely the truth. Pogba’s reaction and celebration after his Netherlans goal pretty much sowed a man happy to shut a few people up.
