Crystal Palace star Daniel Muñoz has insisted he is closing his ears to any transfer rumours and simply focusing on moving up the Premier League table.
The Colombian edition of AS cover comments from the defender today, made to TNT Mexico, in which he was asked about life at Selhurst Park.
Muñoz has established himself as a key player since arriving at Crystal Palace from KRC Genk in an €8m deal in the 2024 January transfer window.
He’s flourished under the direction of Oliver Glasner, fitting perfectly into the Austrian’s system and the flying wing-back role he wants him to perform.
This season he’s managed two goals and three assists in 24 games in the Premier League while his tally for Crystal Palace sits at eight goals and four assists in 33 games in total.
Those numbers and his performances have not gone unnoticed, and several reports have linked him with a big money move away from Crystal Palace this summer, naming the likes of Barcelona as potential suitors.
Muñoz is not listening to those rumours, though, and insists his focus is solely on getting the Eagles flying higher in the Premier League.
“The truth is that every time I play, I feel better,” he said.
“I close my ears a little to what is said outside. I want to concentrate on working hard, giving my best to my teammates and the team. And well, the results speak for themselves on the pitch.
“We have to continue working as a team and climb the table as much as we can.”
