Rangers knocked Fenerbahce out of the Europa League yesterday.
Despite losing the second leg 2-0, they managed to oust the Turkish side on penalties, after their 3-1 advantage from the first leg.
Czech winger Vaclav Cerny impressed in the game last night, attracting the attention of well known Turkish pundit Sercan Hamzaoglu.
He tweeted that Fenerbahce should ‘hurry up and sign’ the 27-year-old, who has been described as an ‘effective’ and ‘fast’ wide player. He also stated that the Rangers star has been a sought-after name in the game for many years now, and the interest isn’t just overnight.
The pundit also went on to mention that while Cerny is only on loan at Rangers from VfL Wolfsburg, his parent club value him around €8-9m for a summer sale.
So far this season, the winger has as many as six goals in the Europa League and he has also found the back of the net 11 times in the Premiership.
Those numbers are a clear indication of his abilities and that is exactly why Rangers should try to keep him at Ibrox.
