There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Hull City have joined the race to sign Şanlıurfaspor forward Uchenna Ogundu.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to Hearts in recent days following reports Derek McInnes is keen on the centre forward.

Gazete Ipekyol report on the latest developments regarding the interest in Ogundu and state Hull City are now in mix to sign the youngster. Acun Ilicali’s connections in Turkey have helped multiple players from the country arrive at Hull City in recent years.

However, the Championship side will face competition to sign the Nigerian with a number of clubs said to be interested, including Hearts. It’s reported the Scottish club have already started attempts to sign the forward.

Fortuna Sittard, Sturm Graz in Austria, and Gornik Zabrze are also reportedly monitoring the situation with the attacker, along with Fenerbahce, who want to purchase the player and they loan him out. At this stage there are no reports of any offers being made from the interested clubs.

Ogundu started 16 league games last season scoring six goals and providing two assists. He’s contracted to Şanlıurfaspor until June 2027 after signing for the TTF.1 club in January.
